Millennium Reopens with A New Concept in Dining

Oakland’s renowned vegan spot, Millennium, is happy to report that as of June 17 they are open once again on College Avenue. Plant-based foodies can expect a new, streamlined menu that packs the same high-caliber creativity as before. Guests can choose between two distinct experiences: a three- or five-course prix fixe menu (Wednesday through Saturday on the covered and heated patio) or a short à la carte menu inside with service at the bar and counter style order- and-seat-yourself options.

“The unexpected and overwhelming support from patrons, both new and old, truly convinced us to move forward,” chef and co-owner Eric Tucker recently told VegNews. “It reinforced our belief that there is still a strong market and a dedicated community for a restaurant like ours in the East Bay.”

Although featured items are yet to be finalized, some dishes may be similar to their previous offerings, including the Millennium Burger— featuring a black lentil-pecan-sunflower seed patty. Other returning favorites include Satay Tempeh, Cornmeal-Crusted Red Kuri Squash, and Coriander & Arborio-Crusted Oyster Mushrooms.

Millennium was featured as one of the world’s top 25 vegetarian and vegan restaurants by Food & Wine magazine. Diners can enjoy the covered, heated garden patio where they often host special events and parties.

Millennium is located at 5912 College Avenue and is once again open Tuesday to Saturday, 5pm-9pm.
