Rockridge Market Hall Indie Food Fest: May 9

Rockridge Market Hall Indie Food Fest: May 9

Rockridge Market Hall proudly announces the return of its Third Annual Indie Food Fest on Saturday, May 9, from noon to 3pm, at its College Avenue marketplace. This free community event invites guests to enjoy a vibrant afternoon celebrating exceptional independent food makers, authors, growers, importers, and winemakers. Admission is free, purchases optional.

Perfectly timed for Mother’s Day shopping, the Indie Food Fest offers an array of thoughtful gifts and seasonal specialties, including fresh bouquets, artisanal chocolates, curated wines, and exclusive holiday menus available throughout Market Hall’s shops.

Attendees can sample a wide range of products while meeting the artisans behind them—from cheese, olive oil, and charcuterie, to chocolate, spices, wine, sake, cocktails, and local craft beer (alcoholic tastings available for guests 21+).

Acclaimed author David Lebovitz, visiting from Paris, will sign copies of his newly revised Ready for Dessert and The Great Book of Chocolate from noon to 1:30pm. In celebration of his work, Market Hall vendors will offer special one-day desserts inspired by his books, including:

  • Chocolate-Cherry Buttermilk Scones from The Great Book of Chocolate at Market Hall Bakery
  • Orange-Cardamom Flan and Riz au Lait from Ready for Dessert at Acre Kitchen + Bar

Author Asha Loupy, co-author of The Diaspora Spice Co. Cookbook, will also be in attendance to sign books and discuss her work and unique spice blends.
