Help Oakland Neighborhoods Thrive
Thursday, April 9, from 6:30pm to 8pm
Chapel of the Chimes
4499 Piedmont Avenue (at the entrance of Mountain View Cemetery)
Come to an interactive workshop with District 1 Council Member Zac Unger who will be speaking and taking questions on topics such as the General Plan Update, the business incentives ballot measure, and his illegal dumping legislation.
The Draft Land Use Framework for Oakland’s General Plan Update connects the community’s vision for the city with updates to topics like land use, transportation, parks and open space, and public facilities. It explains how we can meet community priorities, such as adding more housing and services near transit and jobs, taking better care of parks and open spaces, making streets safer, and improving public transit.
To share your feedback:
1. Comment directly on the Draft Framework (see link below, visit the Konveio website, or see Rockridge Voice’s related article).
2. Email your thoughts to generalplan@oaklandca.gov.
3. Attend a community event, public meeting, or workshop in your district. View full list of community events at oaklandca.gov/gpuevents.
