East Bay Open Studios (EBOS) is back this June with over 180 local artists opening their studios to the public. Its mission is to help residents discover the numerous artists and art spaces that enrich our neighborhoods, and ensure they remain part of the East Bay ecosystem for decades to come.
Artist details and map can be found at: eastbayopenstudios.com.
Three local artists (listed below) will be participating in the first weekend of the event, June 6 and 7, from 11am to 5pm:
Trina Anderson
5240 Shafter Avenue
Artwork Type: Painting / Printmaking
(Open Studios will take place in side yard. Please enter through driveway gate.)

I’m a painter and printmaker based in Oakland, California, where I’ve lived for more than thirty years. My roots trace back to a childhood on a Minnesota lake, and both city life and nature continue to influence the way I see and create.
My work centers on everyday objects and structures—things people build, use, and often discard. I’m drawn to the hidden stories they carry and explore those narratives through layers of drawing, writing, color, and line. My goal is to uncover the beauty within the overlooked and invite viewers to pause, look closer, and discover meaning in the ordinary.

Mike Talkovsky
6455 Hillegass Avenue
Artwork Type: Drawing / Painting

As a child growing up in Orinda and Berkeley, I always loved to draw. I started taking painting classes at UC Extension with my father and older sister during High School. My career leads me down a different path.
I have resumed my art education in recent years by taking classes in drawing, painting and sculpture at Studio One in Oakland and the Richmond Art Center. I am working with oils and guache, and am capturing landscapes, still lives and models. My work represents how I see the world, not necessarily what would be captured in a photograph. I am looking forward to meeting you at my open studio in June 2026.

Reclaimed Luminosity is a collection of lamps and light sculptures, made by hand using reclaimed materials and found objects.

I am an artist based in Oakland, CA, I’ve always been fascinated with light and how it interacts with shape and color in dynamic ways. I love exploring the combination of light, form, and function.
My vision is guided by balancing logic and structure with openness, creativity, and improvisation. My lamps are all one- or two-of-a-kind, featuring unexpected forms that develop organically as I work.
They are made using mostly recycled and up-cycled materials with an eye to the earth’s limited natural resources. Materials include glass, metal, ceramic, slate, and granite.
Each lamp is crafted with an artistic vision, bringing a unique sculptural aesthetic to a functional household item.
