The highly anticipated Taste of Montclair Village returns on Tuesday, April 7, from 5pm to 8pm, inviting all to enjoy an evening of culinary exploration, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities in the heart of Montclair Village.
This year’s event introduces Picnic on the Plaza, a lively gathering space featuring communal, table-style seating where attendees can relax, dine, and enjoy live music. Guests will be treated to a performance by the Jazz Education Ensemble, creating a vibrant backdrop for an evening of local flavor and connection.
Ticketed attendees will receive a “Passport” granting access to samples from more than 30 participating Montclair Village businesses. Local restaurants and specialty food vendors will showcase a wide variety of offerings—from savory dishes like clam chowder, tacos, Nepali and Indian cuisine, fried pot stickers, potato noodles, pizza, and artisanal cheeses, to sweet treats including cakes, cookies, pastries, and donuts.
Beverage tastings will feature craft beer, artisan wines, Guinness, Harp and Smithwick’s, as well as hand-crafted mini cocktails, milkshakes, agua fresca, hot chocolate, and coffee. In addition to tastings, families are encouraged to bring children to enjoy face painting, sponsored by Flair Travel, making the event accessible and fun for all ages.
Proceeds from Taste of Montclair Village will benefit the Montclair Village Association (MVA), a nonprofit Business Improvement District that has supported the community for more than 75 years. The MVA represents approximately 230 retail, restaurant, and service businesses, working to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life in the district.
Tickets are limited and expected to sell quickly. Community members are encouraged to secure their spot early and join in this beloved neighborhood tradition. For more information and ticket details, please visit the Montclair Village Association.
