BODYROK is now open at 5901 College Avenue. The Pilates-inspired fitness studio offers 45-minute, full-body strength training classes on custom-designed equipment. BODYROK aims to make strength-focused movement accessible to a wide range of participants—suitable for all fitness levels and ages.
A key part of the BODYROK experience is its supportive, highly trained instructor team including more than 200 employees — with a strong focus on professional growth and work-life balance. Today, they own and operate more than a dozen BODYROK studios in the Bay Area (including Lakeshore Avenue, Berkeley and Alamo) and in Seattle.

Owners Erika and Will Whalen met at the very first BODYROK studio they got involved with, and their passion for the brand became a personal and professional endeavor. The new location holds special significance for Will, who spent many years in the East Bay while attending UC Berkeley and competing on its rowing team.
The studio features seven different class formats each week, all designed to boost energy and elevate the metabolism. Classes combine Pilates-inspired movements with upbeat music in an energetic, welcoming environment, while instructors provide personalized guidance for all fitness levels.
“We love to host community events, group classes and provide our space for pop-ups, and connect with other small business owners or creators interested in collaborating,” says team member Kelsie Madanat.
New clients can sign up for classes through their website and choose from a variety of introductory offers, including a first-class discount, a five-class package, and monthly unlimited memberships.
